Ivan Elizondo is in his 4th year of college at California State University of Fullerton. He is a major in jazz/commercial music.

Ivan is a drummer who ranges from all different styles. Ivan has been playing drums since the age of four. He performs live and plays for recording sessions. Ivan also performs with his school's Jazz and Latin Ensemble under the direction of Grammy Award Recipient Bill Cunliffe. In addition, he has played drums/percussion for the band in Academy Award Nominated actress Dyan Cannon’s spiritual gathering event known as “God’s Parties.” Additionally, he has been in many rock, jazz, and latin bands outside of school. He has played at The Brea Jazz Festival with the local jazz quartet “iQuartet” who opened up for Grammy Award Recipient Poncho Sanchez. Ivan is currently taking drum lessons from legendary percussionist “Alex Acuña,” Alex was also the former drummer/percussionist for the well known jazz fusion band "Weather Report." Ivan has also performed on numerous concerts with the La Habra High School and Marching band and drum line. He has won several awards such as: The Top Jazz Musician Award at the Esperanza Jazz Festival and more recently, the Top Performer Award at the Reno Jazz Festival. While with the CSUF Latin Band, Ivan has had the opportunity to share the stage with percussionist and Grammy Award Winner Poncho Sanchez.

 

 Besides being an incredible drummer, Ivan has recently collaborated on writing the lyrics to "Celebrate" by Samantha Elizondo. Additionally, Ivan also plays piano and guitar, orchestral and latin percussion. He is also a composer and songwriter.
